Default Lol, Turds sign Leonard Davis

Sorry, maybe should have put this in the smack section. I was gutted the Skins were interested in this big bodied buffoon but it sweems he used us to push up the asking price and Docks deal in Buffalo and deals elsewhere made Dallas pay the price.

According to JLC's blog on the Washington Post:

http://blog.washingtonpost.com/redskinsinsider/

Quote:
If what I am hearing from some agents - who are not directly involved in the negotiations - is true, then Leonard Davis is about to pocket close to $20 million guarnated of Jerry Jones's money, and the Skins have shown some welcome restraint.

This dude is a classic trap. Yeah, he's big and atheltic, but he also has a six-year body of work that shows he is exactly what he is. He was a big-time underachiver, but could always do just enough to make some scouts think, maybe, just maybe, if the work ethic improved the intensity cranked up he could be a beast. But he had serious warts and giving this guy Hutchinson/Dockery/Steinbach money - never thought I'd write this sentence - is way too dangerous.
Nice way to waste your money Pokes!

Default Leonard Davis....Now A Dallas Cowboy

Source: http://gridironfans.com/story.php?t=47684

If the Cowboys are smart they will plug him in at guard. He could be a dominant guard in the NFL and the Cardinals were just stupid in just not moving him inside. Now I wonder if the Cowboys will make a push to re-up with Marc Colombo now that Davis is in the mix?

You....wanted him?

I think he would have been a good fit in SF actually. Looks like they didn't get in the mix though. Overpaying for Nate Clements seemed to be their goal.

I remember everybody laughing at us too when we signed Marc Colombo, and he had a very solid season for the Cowboy in '06. So I'll just wait and see...

Davis at tackle? Will be a mess. Davis at guard? Could be a steal. Let's hope head coach Jason Garre...um, scratch that...interim coach Wade Phillips realizes where he fits best.

Such a good season, you haven't set the world alight to re-sign him and if Davis is to play RT then you have spent $20+ to replace him........

Seeing all the money these guards are making has me wondering why I stopped playing guard in football in high school.

What the fuck? Leonard Davis might actually make a really good guard or a decent RT, but how is a guy who has 0 pro bowls and someone who was cut by the offensive line deprived Cardinals worth nearly 50 mill and 19 mill in guarantees? What the fuck.

Not to mention, Derrick Dockery, ANOTHER average guard got a similar contract. It must be a good fucking time to be an offensive lineman in the NFL these days. I would hate to see the price of an actual, great LT came into the market.

1. Leonard Davis to Dallas This is the worst move of the offseason thus far. Signing the underachieving and underwhelming tackle to a 7-year, $49.6 million deal, with $18.75 million in guaranteed money, is beyond comprehension. Honestly did he do anything in Arizona? And when new coaches, offensive line guru Russ Grimm and head coach Ken Whisenhunt, study the film and don't make you an offer to stay in Arizona, where they are desperate to talent upgrades on the line, well, that tells you everything about everything.
