Jets Targeting Cowboys LB Victor Butler In Free Agency
by SteveRobWhatever 03-10-2013, 08:58 PM

The Jets are targeting Cowboys outside linebacker Victor Butler in free agency, Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports. Gang Green released outside linebacker Calvin Pace a few weeks ago and unrestricted free agent Bryan Thomas isn’t expected to re-sign with the team.

The 6-2, 245-pound Butler, the Cowboys’ fourth-round pick in 2009, has played in a reserve role in Dallas. He had 21 tackles, three sacks and two forced fumbles playing for Rex Ryan’s brother, Rob, last season.

Butler, who has 11 career sacks in four seasons, will turn 26 this summer.

Decent pass rusher, but a one trick poney and can get a consisttant rush if we pressed to play full time

Solid 3rd down rusher though
