| Saints LB Jonathan Vilma Has Hearing For Restraining Order Set For July 26
Federal judge Helen Berrigan ruled on Jonathan Vilma's motion to expedite his temporary restraining order hearing today, moving it up from Aug. 1 to July 26. Berrigan moved the date up to ensure that the NFL has time to file for dismissal or summary judgement, noting that the league asserts Vilma can receive medical care from the Saints training staff at a private facility. The hearing will follow a settlement conference between the NFL, the NFLPA and Vilma on July 23 and the first day of Saints training camp July 24. The team's first practice is July 26.
