Patriots Coach Bill Belichick No. 1 On Forbes' List Of Highest-Paid Coaches In Sports

Bill Belichick of the New England Patriots is the highest-paid coach in sports, according to Forbes magazine's annual list. His annual salary: $7.5 million. National Football League coaches occupy eight of the list's top 10 places. Other North American professional sports are represented in the list by two NBA coaches. Winning a Super Bowl is not necessarily a requirement for high monetary compensation, but it doesn't hurt, consider the NFL coaches behind Belichick on the list. Three are tied for second place: Mike Shanahan of the Washington Redskins, Jeff Fisher of the St. Louis Rams and Pete Carroll of the Seattle Seahawks. Shanahan, Fisher and Carroll each are paid $7 million annually.
