By this poll, Alabama faces 2 top 10 teams in the first 3 weeks of the season. Week 1 vs #8 Michigan. Week 3 @ #10 Arkansas. Throughout the season, the also play #1 LSU. #25 Auburn. So 4 top 25 preseason ranked teams. Will it matter by November? Nobody knows. But either way. The preseason poll is worthless, though it will be looked upon to have merit for those reasons.
Also, after week 1. If Bama beats Michigan, LSU won't be #1.

You seriously think that is true? No matter what no one will top how many top 25 teams we played last year and beat. At least they got the #1 team right. Shows they are not that stupid.
Stanford shouldn't be ranked, losing the only player that matters on offense in Luck, plus losing Martin and Fleener isn't easy either.
The pre-season rankings always count last season though. Stanford still have some good o.linemen and many thing Stanford's most talented TE is still there.
