| Vikings RB Adrian Peterson Says "Truth Will Surface"
Minnesota Vikings tailback Adrian Peterson let Winston Churchill do most of his talking Sunday. A day after he was released from a Houston jail following a nightclub incident, Peterson tweeted this famous Churchill quote: "A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on." Later, Peterson added: "Thank you for waiting for the facts. Truth will surface." As of Sunday, Peterson remained charged only with resisting arrest, a Class A misdemeanor in Texas. Houston police allege that he initiated a confrontation with an off-duty police officer and ultimately needed three officers to get him under arrest. He has a court date Friday in Houston.
