Vikings RB Adrian Peterson Likely To Start Camp On PUP

Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier has indicated star running back Adrian Peterson will likely begin training camp on the PUP list according to Judd Zulgad of ESPN1500 Twin Cities. Peterson is still recovering from meniscus surgery after tearing his ACL and his MCL. "(Based) on where he is today, everything is moving in the right direction. I don't know if we'll put him on the practice field anytime soon when we get to (camp)," Frazier said. "But everything indicates there's a very good chance he may be ready for (Week 1). We're still far enough out that you really can't say that right now." Peterson could be activated at any time if he begins camp on the PUP list, so it wouldn't be a concern if that's where he starts out, he'd be forced to sit out six games if he remained there until the regular season. In regard to his other oft-injured star Percy Harvin, Frazier "fully expects" him to show up for training camp. Harvin himself has essentially guaranteed he'll report, the "situations" he was briefly upset about are in the rear-view mirror.
