Dolphins LT Jake Long Sits Out Friday Practice, Status Vs. Bills In Doubt

Dolphins left tackle Jake Long has never missed a game since coming to the Dolphins as the No. 1 overall pick in 2008, fighting through shoulder and knee injuries to start 61 straight games. But that streak may come to an end Sunday in Buffalo. Long, who left Sunday’s loss to the Eagles after seven snaps with a lower back injury, did not participate with his teammates in Friday’s practice. He wore a helmet and jogged around with the team, but when the starting offensive line performed drills, Long stood off to the side. Though Long, a three-time Pro Bowler, is talented enough to play on Sundays without getting much work during the week, the fact that he didn’t participate with the starters during a Friday practice is a tell-tale sign that he won’t be in the lineup this weekend.
