Al Groh To Remain At The College Level, Opts For Georgia Tech

It's impossible to know if the Dolphins ever offered their defensive coordinator job to Al Groh, but it's a moot point now. According to ESPN and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Groh has decided to stay at the college level and accept the same position with Georgia Tech. That brings the Dolphins' focus squarely on Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker coach Keith Butler, who according to ESPN's Adam Schefter is to interview for the position today. Groh, 65, had made it clear that his preference wasn't either a college or pro job but one that fit his 'criteria.' Chief among those was the integrity of the situation, and his familiarity with Bill Parcells made it understood that existed in spades in Miami.
