Dan Henning Sticks Up For Dolphins Receiving Group

Bashing the Dolphins wide receiver group has been a favorite pastime of Dolphin fans and media alike this season. But after Davone Bess and Greg Camarillo each put up 100-yard receiving games the past two weeks and Chad Henne tied a franchise record with 17 straight completions, offensive coordinator Dan Henning came to the group’s defense. “We like this group of receivers,” Henning said in his weekly remarks to the media. “They’re like Rodney Dangerfield. But they like one another. They work together. (Receivers coach) Karl Dorell has done a great job with them. They’ve bought into what we’re teaching.” Added Henning, “When you’re talking about a coaching situation, everyone would like to have the biggest, strongest guy with the best hands. We don’t all have that. But even when you have that, as people have found with certain individuals in this league, the best thing to have in a coaching situation is these type of guys.”
