Eagles CB Asante Samuel Decides To Skip OTA's

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid isn't happy about it, but cornerback Asante Samuel has decided to skip at least some of the team's volunteer camp this week. The Eagles' well-compensated cornerback did not show up Monday as the team resumed the full-squad camp that started with four workouts last week. No direct statement was made by the team about Samuel's absence, and because this camp is voluntary, the Eagles cannot take any disciplinary action.

Odd. I wonder what his reasoning is.

I wonder if he notified them that he wasn't coming in or just didn't show...

I personally am thrilled. The guy doesn't need to develop chemistry with anyone, he's a cornerback. He doesn't need to worry about conditioning. Fuck it, less days he has to tweak a hammy or something else.

Truth.

Too bad Asante never has a chance to pick D-Mac, all his passes are in the dirt 10 feet before they get anywhere near him.

Who cares its OTAs were just bored and have to talk about something. Hes gonna be at camp thats all that matters. From all the interviews on the eagles site it seems like asante and bradley are the leaders of this team.
