DeMaurice Smith, the executive director of the NFL Players Association, met with the Seahawks on Monday, part of his criss-cross tour around the league to speak with the players on each team. According to Kennan, Seahawks assistant coaches were told not to meet with Smith. Smith and the NFL Players Association do not represent the coaches, who are not unionized, but he had spoken with assistant coaches in previous stops.
