Buffalo Bills Considering Building A New Stadium?

As Dallas moves into it's new stadium, a profile of the company that helped build it is suggesting that the firm has been approached by the Buffalo Bills about future plans. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram, in Thursday's paper, quotes Mark Williams, associate principal architect of HKS Inc. as saying, "Weve been working with the [Minnesota] Vikings for about nine months, and they are still trying to get their funding. The [San Francisco] 49ers and the Buffalo Bills are thinking about doing something and also the [San Diego] Chargers and maybe the Atlanta Falcons. Those are the potential new stadiums in the NFL." In 2007, state senator Antoine Thompson advocated for the possibility of building a new stadium on Buffalo's waterfront, and the Buffalo City Council has looked at the possibility, of some day eventually, placing one downtown on the site of the Perry St. municipal housing projects.

no offense to anyone and I've never been, but i've talked to several people that have gone to a bills game and compared to other nfl venues, the Bills venue is very subpar. buffalo has proven itself to be a great football town and a new stadium should be in their future.

It depends what you look for in a football experience. If you want fancy concession stands with sushi and steak dinners, Buffalo ain't the place. They have pizza, popcorn and pretzels and that's it. But tons of beer. If you want the #1 rated tailgating experience in the NFL then swing by the OP sometime.

eh, sushi and steak is not the knock i've heard about it. most people i know are beer and hot dog people so they're fine as long as they have that. i've heard op is hard to get to, the parking lot is similar to going to a state fair, and the sightlines in the stadium aren't very good.

Beer & hot dog people? Are you sure? The Ralph is as redneck and blue collar as you can get. If someone is used to an upscale stadium experience I could see how they'd hate it but all 3 points you make are completely incorrect. Is it a dump? yes. Do concessions suck? yes. Are the luxury boxes comparable to other venues? No. But traffic, parking lots, and sight lines are actually some of its best attributes. And what;'s wrong with the state fair? Your friend has misled you.
