Giants rookie wide receiver Hakeem Nicks is practicing with the third-string, according to Newsday. Domenik Hixon is starting at the X position, with second-year pro Mario Manningham working with the second-team. Hixon has fared well as a starter, and Manningham has potential to develop into a solid receiver as well.

Bust!

I haven't heard anything so, I'm going to assume they are just bringing him through the ranks... if he excels with the moves up to 2nd team etc.. don't forget that we have a lot of young talent at WR like Manningham (2nd rnd pick last year) I imagine everyone will get their shot. We are still very early in the off-season.

He's a rookie. He's new to the playbook. He's new to everything. I'd expect him to start at the bottom.

It's typical Coughlin.....

Earn your position as a rookie.....start at the bottom, learn the playbook and move up during training camp if there are veteran players ahead of you....

He will be moving up quick. Unless a injury sets himback, no way he should be anything less then the 3. I would like to see him as the #2 only because I think Steve Smith isnt fast enough to be a #2. He gets seperation because hes on the nicest route runners and has exceled in the years past in that position. I know right now Smith is the person Eli is most comfortable with.
