The Jets claimed tight end Martrez Milner off waivers from the Giants, general manager Mike Tannenbaum announced Wednesday. At 6-4, 260 pounds, Milner will add size and depth to the Jets at a position where the team is lacking. Milner, a former fourth-round draft choice of the Atlanta Falcons in 2007, was signed by the Giants to their practice squad September 23 and was waived last week.
