Steelers LB James Harrison's Son Attacked By His Dog

Steelers linebacker James Harrison's young son is being treated at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh after being bitten by an animal -- apparently Harrison's pet dog, WTAE Channel 4 Action News has learned. A source told reporter Ari Hait that the injuries to James Harrison III are severe, but not life-threatening. "We are aware of the situation but this is a personal matter for James," Steelers spokesman Burt Lauten said in a statement. Harrison, of Franklin Park, has a pit bull, but it's not known if that dog is the same one that attacked his child, who was born in 2007.

yep, this sucks and many times a year we hear about young kids, usually 7 or 8 years old and younger, getting hurt or killed by pit bulls. i don't know if i would say they should all be muzzled though because ultimately it's not the dog's fault that he's a dog. In all reality, this is a parental issue because they allowed the toddler to get that close to the dog's mouth for whatever reason. bad parenting. sorry, no way around this one guys. that's some pretty shitty parenting there.
