Cowboys Shopping Linebacker Greg Ellis

The Dallas Cowboys are shopping outside linebacker Greg Ellis, multiple sources told FanHouse on Thursday. Dallas is serious about a potential move because on Thursday, the final day of this week's organized team activities, the team sent Ellis home, not allowing him to practice. The Cowboys did this last year during some OTAs, and coach Wade Phillips said then it was to not wear Ellis down.

lol I was going to say a return to the Dolphins? wtf!!!

Words can't really sum up how great he has been for us over the years. I know he was the 8th overall pick when he was drafted and that's to be expected but he has overcome some things while here. He didn't really have much of an impact early in his career but he really turned it up under Wade's D which suits him much better than Zimmer's D did. I'll hate to see him go, but there's not really a spot for him on the team anymore in my opinion. We got a ton of young linebackers eager to step in.

I was really disappointed in him last year. The 8 sacks were a decent total, but they get skewed by the Giants game. The other 15 games he had a total of 5.

I think when you have a D that record 59 sacks, you can afford to get rid of a player that only accounted for 8 at a prime pass rush spot.

Spencer will get 10 next year

bengals wont go after him, they are stacked at LB all of the sudden.

this is a good move for the cowboys with alot of new 34 teams....chiefs, broncos should look, the packers got the LBs for a 34 just not the DLine.

Ellis wouldnt be a LB with Cincey, he would go back to his DE position

I dont think Ellis wants to play in a 3-4 anymore anyway's
