[Giants] Giants RB Derrick Ward Denies He Was At Club Shooting

On Sunday, running back Derrick Ward vehemently denied reports he was with Plaxico Burress and Antonio Pierce at the Latin Quarter nightclub in Manhattan on Friday night when Burress accidentally shot himself in the right thigh. "I wasn't with Plaxico or Antonio that night," Ward said. "I was out having dinner with friends; that's about it. The last time I saw them was that afternoon right after practice, that's it." Yesterday, Ward, on a Web site called JOCKlife.com, again denied being at the scene. His agent, Peter Schaffer, went even further, saying, "I find it disgraceful and in very bad taste that a media outlet would accuse someone of being somewhere that they incontrovertibly were never at when they did not properly, diligently and accurately check the facts, sources and reliability of the information."
