Saints [Saints] Saints RB Pierre Thomas Impressing Coaches
Saints head coach Sean Payton said after Sunday’s loss to Tampa Bay that running back Pierre Thomas was the team’s “most consistent” running back and the “best option on the first- and second-down snaps”. Payton’s confidence in Thomas was reflected in the way the workload was divided among the team’s running backs on Sunday, with Thomas receiving 11 carries compared to just three for both Reggie Bush and Deuce McAllister.
