| Oakland welcomed the news that former head coach Lane Kiffin landed the University of Tennessee coaching job. It saved the Raiders millions of dollars and at the very least, the Raiders no longer will be on the hook for the $2 million salary that Kiffin was scheduled to make next season. The two sides still are trying to settle their salary differences within the league but at the very least, the Raiders no longer will be on the hook for paying Kiffin next season. Source: NFL Network
