[Giants] Giants WR Amani Toomer Playing His Last Year In New York?

According to someone informed of the progress of negotiations, there have been no talks whatsoever over the past few months between the Giants and veteran wide receiver Amani Toomer. The person, who requested anonymity because both sides aren't commenting publicly said it's too soon to tell if Toomer will remain a Giant next season because the Giants appear content to wait until the offseason to resume talks. "We have a new GM. In the past, I don't know if I would have gotten this deep into it," Toomer said. "But he does things a different way. I don't really know how to take it." With a laugh he added, "I don't know if (a contract year) is good or bad."
