[Jets] NFL Explains Referee's Perceived Celebration With Jets

In response to our item regarding the perception in some circles that NFL V.P. of football operations Ray Anderson and another unknown league official were possibly celebrating with the Jets after their overtime win against the Patriots on November 13, V.P. of corporate communications Brian McCarthy advises us that the league believes there was no inappropriate behavior, and that the clip was removed from YouTube because it violated the league’s video policies. “Ray Anderson and other league officials were headed into the officials locker room when they ran into some of the Jets. It’s common courtesy to say congrats to the winning team,” McCarthy said. “At Gillette Stadium, the visiting team locker room and the officials locker room are adjacent to each other so people headed to the officials locker room had to go by the Jets contingent."
