Patriots [Patriots] Pats Place LB Eric Alexander On IR, Promote LB Vince Redd
The Patriots have made a roster move today, placing LB Eric Alexander on season-ending injured reserve and promoting OLB Vince Redd from the practice squad. Alexander has played in only one game this season, the season opener against the Chiefs. A reserve whose primary contributions have come on special teams, he has been limited by a hamstring injury this season.

Alexander is a no-body and didn't play all year long anyway and Redd is a rookie who is 6-6, 263 pound and runs a 4.5 40 time.

Seems great.
