[Bears] Bears Swap Safeties Mike Brown, Kevin Payne

Although it isn’t reflected on the team depth chart, Bears safeties Mike Brown and Kevin Payne have switched positions in recent weeks, with Brown moving to strong safety and Payne moving to free safety. While Brown has made more of an impact lately, in effect acting like an extra linebacker, the consensus is that Payne’s performance level has tailed off somewhat since the switch.
