[Eagles] Eagles OG Shawn Andrews May Be Done For The Year

When Shawn Andrews underwent back surgery in Southern California, the Eagles said their two-time Pro Bowl guard could be playing again anywhere from six weeks to three months after the Oct. 21 procedure. We now know that Andrews will miss at least six weeks, and it appears unlikely he will be back this season unless the Eagles are about to begin a playoff run. "I don't have any update for you on Shawn other than . . . they are going to keep him out there until the Wednesday before Thanksgiving," coach Andy Reid said after practice yesterday. "Then they'll evaluate him there and we'll see when he gets back, if they'll allow him." While it may seem unusual that Andrews has remained in Southern California more than a month after Robert Watkins performed the surgery, a source close to the situation said the extended stay was at the doctor's urging.

I know were still in the mix for the last playoff spot but why bother with our top guard out and our star running back not being able to play at his best.

lol that was diffrent we had a 100% healthy westbrook and ran the ball way more. Now our star running back is hurt and his top blocker is gone.

Now Im not saying they will, but its way too early to write them off in what IMO is a very overrated NFC Wildcard pool

Only way i see us doing well is if we stop throwing every play and get buckhalter more playing time hes a pretty good 2nd back. Its obvious that westbrook isnt healthy theres always reports of him with sore ankle sore knee.

Westbrooks knees and ankles aren't the problem.... he had those injuries before the Atlanta game and seemed to do alright. Our O-line can't run block worth shit and Andy hasn't called enough runs for them get any sort of consistent push

I don't want it to call it a season on the Eagles. But they are in the basement of the NFC East, they still have a chance to get that Wildcard though.
