Buccaneers [Buccaneers] Jon Gruden Praises Buccaneers QB Jeff Garcia

Buccaneers head coach Jon Gruden said he likes the way QB Jeff Garcia is playing, especially with his improved mobility. “Jeff gives us another dimension on offense. I think that any quarterback that has great feet like him gives more opportunities,” Gruden said. “Sometimes it can backfire, but for us it has been working well. He has been discipline with the ball as well. A rookie with skills like him is probably more susceptible to turnovers. I think he has been making great decisions when he is running and scrambling and getting first downs for us when we don’t have open receivers.”

I remember a time when Gruden benched Garcia because he (Garcia) was calling too many audibles. "Now he has great feet" that "gives him more opportunities". Gruden is by far the worst PR guy in all of major sports leagues.

Shit, it wasn't too long ago that Gruden was quoted as saying "We miss our quarterback (Griese)" when talking about how injuries were affecting the team. Thats BS, Garcia IS the Tampa QB, but Gruden can be so damn petty. As far as I'm concerned Griese getting hurt was the best thing for Gruden - it helped him save face. That way he could put Garcia in without ever having to admit that he had fucked up by benching him in the first place. Miss Griese....whatever!
