| Cris Collinsworth, calling tonight's Bengals-Steelers game for the NFL Network, said late in the telecast that Cincinnati quarterback Carson Palmer is unlikely to play again this season but probably won't undergo surgery on his injured right elbow. Palmer reportedly has been considering undergoing reconstructive surgery for a damaged ulnar collateral ligament, the procedure known widely as Tommy John surgery after the baseball pitcher who once underwent it. But Collinsworth said that Palmer's ligament is 80 percent intact and the current thinking is that it will heal without surgery. Source: Washington Post
