[Seahawks] Seahawks DE Patrick Kerney's Season Over

The Seahawks placed defensive end Patrick Kerney on injured reserve Wednesday, ending the season of the player who led the team with 5 sacks. "Any time you get injured, it's disappointing," Kerney said. "Most of the time, it's something that's out of your control so you've got to sort of sit back and take it for what it is." Kerney missed the past three games because of a shoulder injury, which required arthroscopic surgery. Initially, it was feared Kerney reinjured the torn labrum that he had surgically repaired in the offseason.
