[Broncos] Broncos CB Champ Bailey To Be Game Time Decision

During his weekly press conference on Wednesday, head coach Mike Shanahan hinted that perennial Pro Bowl cornerback Champ Bailey has a chance to return for Sunday’s home game against the Oakland Raiders. Bailey suffered a groin injury at New England on Oct. 20 and has missed three games, though the Broncos’ defense has played admirably in his absence. Another consideration would be to rest Bailey one more week against the offensively-challenged Raiders with Brett Favre and the New York Jets looming on Nov. 30. “He started to loosen up last week and went through some drills. He did the same thing today,” Shanahan said. “It’s really a day-by-day scenario. We’ll see how he feels at the end of the week and normally we’d make a decision right before the game.”
