[Giants] Giants RB Brandon Jacobs May Not Play Sunday In Arizona

The New York Giants say an MRI revealed no structural damage to the knee of running back Brandon Jacobs, however, there is a chance Jacobs will be held out of Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals as a precaution according to a report in the New York Post. The concern is lingering swelling from the injury sustained Sunday against the Ravens. Jacobs was hit in the first quarter, played through the second quarter and then took a seat early in the third quarter — but Tuesday spoke with several media outlets and did not dismiss the possibility of missing time. "I could line up and go play on Sunday if our team has a serious need of a running back," Jacobs said on ESPN First Take. "But as everyone knows, they're not. We have a stable of horses lined up and ready to go. So I could play if I wanted to and I needed to, but I don't know if they'll let me."
