[Titans] Vince Young Asked To Come Out Of Playoff Game

The more we learn about Vince Young, the less he seems like a guy any NFL team would want to count on as its starting quarterback. Adam Schefter reported today on NFL Network’s NFL GameDay Morning that during last season’s AFC Wild Card game against San Diego, Young wanted to stop playing at halftime and had to be persuaded to take the field with his teammates in the second half. Ultimately, Young did play the entire game, completing 16 of 29 passes for 138 yards, with no touchdowns and an interception and the Titans lost 17-6.

I'm not defending Vince Young or anything, but about his production. I don't really think we can place all the blame on him. He doesn't really have any receivers. I mean they had a chance to get Limas Sweed, and we saw what Limas and Vince did back at Texas and reuniting those two would've been great for Young's numbers. Just saying.

He had his ass kissed his entire life from high school all the way through college. He was always the best at what he did and now he isn't. He's not dominating on the field and no body is telling him how his shit doesn't stink. Boo hoo. Welcome to the real world Vince.

I really doubt its as straightforward as that. For all we know the depression could be nothing to do with the game.

You have to wonder what they were thinking starting him last week with all these problems he has. They should have brought someone else in during training camp and send Vince to get some help.

I am so pissed at how the Titans have botched two high profile draft picks in Pacman Jones and Vince Young. It's shit like this that holds franchises back.

How the fuck are scouts supposed to pick up on him having depression in the future.

Its just bad luck on this one.

Scouts don't, but a team psychiatrist could pick up on it.

Being coddled your whole life and then all of a sudden not will have an affect on a weak mind. Kinda in the same manner as when an only child grows up and is told "no" for the first time in their life. They can't handle it.
