So far, new tight end Martellus Bennett doesn’t seem to have made a great impression on Witten. Bennett tells Tim McMahon of the Dallas Morning News that when he asked Witten for help early in training camp, Witten gave him a stern message: “I’m not going to be [beep] doing this all the [beep] time. You’ve got to know what the [beep] to do.” For his part, however, Witten says that Bennett is misreading his attitude toward him. “He says it all the time: ‘Jason doesn’t like me,’” Witten said of Bennett. “It’s not that I don’t like him. It’s just that I’m letting him figure it out. He’s got to figure it out first.”
