Raiders [Raiders] Raiders Waive QB Jeff Otis, Sign LB Shane Simmons
Linebacker Shane Simmons, who was with the Raiders through organized team activities, was signed to the roster because of a knee injury suffered by strong side linebacker Robert Thomas. No. 4 quarterback Jeff Otis was waived to make room for Simmons. Thomas injury is not believed to be serious, but he is one of several players who will be sitting out the Seahawks game Friday night.
