It was a day to get the line on the Browns offensive line Sunday as practice was moved inside because of rain for the first time in training camp. With right tackle Ryan Tucker facing an NFL-imposed suspension for the first four regular-season games for violating the league's substance abuse policy, the re-configuration of the line started to really take hold. Kevin Shaffer, who played left tackle all last season and for most of camp this year, moved to right tackle. In Shaffer's spot at left tackle was No. 3 overall draft pick Joe Thomas. Asked if this is the way the Browns line would proceed for the foreseeable future, Browns head coach Romeo Crennel simply said, "Yes." As for Shaffer feelings about the move? "He may not be jumping up and down, but he's a professional and he's making the move," Crennel said. "He knows he can do it, and we know he can do it. We just need to give him enough reps and as much practice time there as we can."
