Broncos QB Brady Quinn Apologizes For Comments In GQ

Denver Broncos quarterback Brady Quinn made some eyebrow-raising comments about Tim Tebow to Mike Silver of Yahoo! Sports in an article that will appear in the latest issue of GQ. Quinn felt that he was the No. 2 quarterback behind Kyle Orton at the start of the season, but Broncos fans' demands for Tebow cost him a chance to start. "I felt like the fans had a lot to do with that," Quinn said in the article. "Just 'cause they were chanting his name. There was a big calling for him. No, I don't have any billboards. That would have been nice." Quinn claimed the interview was done months ago and provided "an inaccurate portrayal" of his comments, Quinn also released the following statement: "I regret the comments as they appeared in the article and I apologize if the comments that were in the article upset anyone," Quinn said today. "I think they were taken in the wrong tone. Had I known at the time the direction the article was going to go I would not have participated in the interview at all. The interview took place three months ago. However, there's no one to blame but myself. I take full responsibility. "I've reached out to Tim and he knows what I think of him as a player and a person. I hope my teammates know that I don't think this season was based upon luck. I think it was more based upon the fight each of our teammates had to continually battle and win games in the end. And Tim was very much instrumental in our success, especially coming down the stretch in the last minutes of games." Silver stands by the story and the quotes contained in it.

Wait? You do realize that he told Mike Silver plenty of wonderful things about Tim that didn't get printed right? You do realize that the media's job is to make a story right?

Now your going to call him a dumbass? How about calling Silver a dumbass for not quoting any of the good shit Quinn said and making Quinn look like a complete ass hole?
