| Jets OG Matt Slauson Played With Torn Labrum, Rotator Cuff And Bicep | | | Guard Matt Slauson, one of four Jets to attend yesterday’s Wrestlemania announcement at MetLife Stadium, revealed that the surgery he had on his left shoulder after the season was much more extensive than anyone originally reported. Slauson, describing his level of pain last season as "quite a significant amount," said he was playing with a torn labrum, rotator cuff and biceps muscle and he had all three repaired in a recent surgery. "I knew something was wrong, but I was like, OK, I'll keep on playing as long as I can play,' and I was able to get through it all," Slauson said. “I just thought maybe I sprained something in there, that maybe I got a little tear in my labrum, but that really wasn’t a big deal. The fact that I could still play and still lift -- kind of -- I didn’t think it was a big deal. Once the season was over and we took a look at it we saw it was a little more more serious than we thought it was.’’ Slauson said the recovery time is five to six months, which means he’ll be limited in offseason workouts and minicamp, but he said he expected to be “definitely 100 percent for training camp.’’ Source: New York Post
