Chad Jones and the Giants re-structured his original contract with the team, coming to an agreement Wednesday on what the next two years could pay the former LSU standout. Jones, who was in a horrific one-car accident in 2010 where he nearly lost his leg, had two years remaining on his rookie deal with New York. He was drafted in 2010 and was expected to help on special teams but his SUV crashed into a streetcar pole on the neutral ground in Mid-City and has been rehabilitating since. Jones said he was cleared from the doctor to play with no restrictions, but he has yet to pass a physical, Giants officials said. He will report to the team's offseason conditioning program in April and will continue his rehabilitation.
