Giants running back Brandon Jacobs made it very clear Monday that he hopes to help defend the team’s Super Bowl title next season according to Sam Borden of the New York Times. But Jacobs also said that he has no plans to retire if the Giants choose not to keep him and would not rule out considering the Jets if he ends up on the open market. “I want to be a Giant,” said Jacobs, who is due a $500,000 bonus in March that may force a decision from the Giants. As for possibly playing for Jets coach Rex Ryan, Jacobs told the newspaper, "It was a situation. We were rivals then. There’s no apology needed. I like the way Rex handles his business. The guys on that team I know, know how I feel."
