Jets To Retain QB Coach Matt Cavanaugh

The New York Jets retained quarterbacks coach Matt Cavanaugh after considering their options, including David Lee. Cavanaugh and quarterback Mark Sanchez had drawn criticism for a subpar season. Cavanaugh previously spent four seasons as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of Pittsburgh. Cavanaugh played 14 NFL seasons for four teams (Patriots, 49ers, Eagles, Giants) and has 14 years of NFL coaching experience, serving as an offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens and the Chicago Bears and as quarterbacks coach for the San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals.
