Bears LB J.T. Thomas Arrested On Marijuana Charge

Chicago Bears linebacker J.T. Thomas was arrested earlier this morning in Morgantown, West Virginia and has been charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession, MetroNews Sports reports. According to the report, Thomas was pulled over at 3:55am ET for driving the wrong way down a one-way street and exceeding the speed limit by more than 25mph. When removing his vehicle registration from the glove compartment, a two plastic bags of what appeared to be marijuana was also produced. A 2011 sixth-round pick out of West Virginia, Thomas spent his rookie season on injured reserve. Thomas was in Morgantown as part of his "The Ready Ready Road Trip", which is intended to raise money and awareness for the J.T. Thomas Foundation, which he's started to promote leadership, education, youth sports and raise awareness to different childhood disabilities.
