| | | Another 2011 contract where partial guarantees have graduated to full guarantees belongs to Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Tamba Hali. Franchised before the lockout, Hali signed a five-year, $57.5 million contract on August 5. According to a league source, Hali received a $15 million signing bonus and a $1 fully guaranteed million base salary in 2011, with his $11.25 million 2012 base salary and $12.25 2013 base salary guaranteed for injury only at the time of signing. On February 7, 2012, the $23.5 million in base salary over the 2012 and 2013 seasons became guaranteed for skill and cap, increasing the full guarantee of the contract to $39.5 million, all of which is scheduled to be paid out over the first 31 months of the contract.
