Lions after failing his physical with the Rams, Allan Maki of The Globe and Mail reports. "The St. Louis Rams have notified Jovan Olafioye that they have released him from his contract due to their concerns about a medical issue," Dan Vertlieb, Olafioye's agent said. "Given the closing window to explore opportunities in the NFL in Jovan’s current CFL contract, he will return to the B.C. Lions for another season after thoroughly addressing his status." Undrafted out of North Carolina Central in 2010, Olafioye has spent the last two seasons with the B.C. Lions, earning All-Star honors in 2011. The 6-foot-6, 325-pound lineman worked out for and/or visited 15 teams over the last six weeks, including a January 5 workout for the Rams. Olafioye signed a contract with the Rams, which was disapproved by the NFL. Olafioye signed a re-worked contract, but was released by the Rams late on Thursday. Source: Mac's Football Blog
