Patriots Likely To Tender QB Brian Hoyer

Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com reports that the Patriots are likely to tender restricted free agent QB Brian Hoyer at least at the 2nd round level in March. The Patriots are stacked at the quarterback position with future Hall-of-Famer Tom Brady and 2010 3rd-round pick Ryan Mallett but Bill Belichek considers Hoyer an asset and will not let lose him without receiving anything in return. There will likely be some interest in Hoyer around the league but chances are he will remain a Patriot until he becomes an unrestricted free agent in 2013.
