Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel offers some insight into Ricky Williams' abrupt retirement from football. Williams reportedly received a text from Bill Parcells stating, "Don't chase this thing too long. You can contribute in other ways." Apparently Williams' retirement announcement caught the Ravens by surprise and leaves their running back corps in flux. Williams still looked good when he got his opportunities this year and it would not be a surprise, given his history, if he changes his mind again and unretires.
