Colts QB Peyton Manning Likely To Become A Redskin?

Mike Freeman of CBS Sports reports that "everyone" he talks to in the NFL believes Peyton Manning will become a Redskin if and when he becomes a free agent. This comes on the heels of a weekend report from two people close to Manning saying "it is very likely" Manning will end up with the Redskins. It is clear both the Redskins and the Dolphins will pursue Manning. Redskins coach Mike Shanahan cannot afford another losing season if he wants to keep his job and for once the Redskins have plenty of salary cap room.

I still think they're overlooking Manning's desire to win. The Redskins fucking suck and have holes everywhere, still doesn't make sense to me.

the skins have a pretty good defense but the lousy offense wore them down too many times. manning and a good move at WR could make a huge difference.

The biggest thing between Miami and the Redskins, Miami doesn't go against the sick front of the Giants or Ware and the Cowboys, or the ends of the Eagles.

Correct me if I'm wrong but weren't the Redskins in just about every game they played with Rex Grossman as their QB.

Peyton Manning is infinetly greater than Rex, if Peyton Manning was on the Redskins they at least make the playoffs. Maybe sign another WR to go alongside Santana Moss, but Moss can ball. What they really need is a healthy Running Back.

Not really if you don't count division games.

Peyton will make almost all offenses contenders.

eh, i'm sure there will be rumors having Peyton going to every team in the NFL by the time this is all said and done ................ hell, i'm not going to be surprised if someone claims he's going to new england or new orleans or green bay as a back-up ..............

i'll believe it when i see it with any of the rumors surrounding this story.
