| Seahawks Interested In Hosting Future Super Bowl | | | The Seattle Seahawks have submitted paperwork to the National Football League regarding hosting a future Super Bowl at CenturyLink Field, Aaron Levine of Q13 FOX News in Seattle reports. According to Levine, CenturyLink Field has the capacity to meet the 70,000-seat requirement -- the announced attendance at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday was under 69,000 -- the area (Seattle, Bellevue, Everett, Tacoma) meets the 25,000 hotel room capacity and there's no shortage of exhibit space in the city. The one major hurdle, the 50-degree average temperature requirement, could be waived as was the case in the awarding of Super Bowl XLVIII in New Jersey in February of 2014. Super Bowl XLIX will be held in Glendale, Arizona and the NFL is looking at Los Angeles or London as potential hosts sites for the fiftieth Super Bowl (Super Bowl L) in 2016.
