Broncos RB Knowshon Moreno Arrested For DUI

Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno was arrested on February 1 for driving under the influence of alcohol, Julie Hayden of KDVR in Denver reports. According to the report, Moreno pulled over in his Bentley convertible for going as fast as 70mph in a construction zone. Moreno submitted to a breath test and was taken into custody. Selected with the 12th overall pick of the 2009 NFL Draft, Moreno had 37 carries for 179 yards in eight games before landing on injured reserve with a torn ACL. In 37 career games, Moreno has rushed for 1,905 yards and 12 touchdowns and caught 76 passes for 686 yards and six touchdowns. "We take the incident involving Knowshon Moreno very seriously and are thoroughly reviewing this matter," the Broncos said in a statement to KDVR on Monday. "Our organization will continue to gather information and closely monitor this issue while the legal process runs its course."
