Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski Denies Ankle Injury Hampered Play

Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski refused to blame his ankle injury for his limited participation in the offense according to Dan Ventura of the Boston Herald. No matter how many times he was pressed, the answer was firm and consistent “I was fine, my ankle was fine,” Gronkowski said. “I was 100 percent out there. I did everything they asked me to do.” Gronkowski did get a little testy when a local cable reporter asked him when he would have surgery on the ankle. “Where did you get that from?” Gronkowski snapped. “I’m not (having surgery). I just need to get some treatment in the offseason and I will be good to go."

Yea it was painfully obvious from the start of the game. Unfortunately for him and the rest of us we'll all be playing the what if game until they win another one.

Just say you're hurt. There's no harm in it. Nobody is going to call you a pussy. You were hurt, it happens.
