Giants Defeat Patriots 21-17 To Win Super Bowl XLVI
Posted By: SteveRobWhatever 02-05-2012 , 09:59 PM

Eli Manning and the New York Giants did it again, beating the New England Patriots with another game-winning drive in the Super Bowl. Ahmad Bradshaw scored on a six-yard touchdown run with 57 seconds remaining to lift the Giants to a 21-17 win. Manning led the 88-yard drive to win the game, just like he orchestrated an 83-yard drive to win the 2008 Super Bowl over the Patriots, which ended New England's hopes of a perfect season. With time running down, Bradshaw nearly sat at the half-yard line before falling back into the end zone for the touchdown. Tom Brady completed a 19-yard pass to Deion Branch on 4th-and-16, but a last- second Hail Mary pass fell incomplete in the end zone.

this is 2012 .... not 2005 ........ eli hasn't been 'mediocre', even in the regular season, for a LONG time .... and i was one of his biggest critics early on in his career ..... dude took a huge step in his evolution during the playoffs when he won his first super bowl and has been good since then, even in the regular season, but especially in crunch time and the playoffs.

there is nothing 'mediocre' about what eli has done over the last 49 months. In fact, I would challenge you to find me someone who has had a better 4 year stretch at QB that has NOT made the h.o.f. or hasn't positioned himself to make it.

The Giants punter should be in the hall of fame too. The Pats were on their own 4 yard line for half the game it seemed like.

Eli should have bought his defensive teammates some expensive presents. IMO, if the defense hadn't come alive in the second half of the season, the Giants would have finished in the basement of the division with the Redskins.
