The Patriots have released their list of inactive players for the Super Bowl: Defensive tackle Ron Brace, running back Kevin Faulk, linebacker Gary Guyton, quarterback Ryan Mallett, offensive lineman Nick McDonald, offensive lineman Donald Thomas and running back Shane Vereen That Faulk is inactive for the Super Bowl could mean the running back -- who has more than 3,600 rushing yards and 3,700 receiving yards in his 13-year career -- has played his final NFL game. Not that it should come as much of a surprise, but tight end Rob Gronkowski is active. How much he'll be able to contribute is another story. Offensive tackle Sebastian Vollmer, who played in just five games during the regular season and has not played in either of the Patriots' two playoff games, likewise is active.
